What we do

We provide a comprehensive service that begins with an in-depth flooring assessment, preparatory work and floor repair before we start the process of stripping and sanding. We believe that sanding should be a slow and gradual process that shouldn’t be rushed, which is why we use at least five grades of incrementally finer abrasives to achieve the final smooth finish. Leading-edge sanding technology and high-quality products enable us to ensure that the process is 99% dust-free, for your convenience. At the end of the project, you will be left with beautifully restored wood flooring, along with our professional advice on how to care for it.

Working with Covid-19
We have put in place stringent measures to ensure both our clients’ and our team’s safety during our working day, and are fully compliant of all relevant government guidelines. Where requested, we can limit face-to-face contact with clients and wear masks and gloves throughout, for our clients’ complete peace of mind.
The Egypt House Penzance
We were privileged to have been asked to refurbish the floors in the iconic and grade listed building in Penzance called ‘The Egypt House’ after a recent fire. Due to re-open very soon the shop is the home of Pure Nuff Stuff who make an amazing area of beautiful organic skin care products. The floors will finished the floors with a commercial grade product offering real protection to heavy foot traffic but with a natural look.
The Invisible look
We now offer a fantastic new product from one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of floor finishes. Loba 2K Invisible gives the lovely ‘flat’ look of an oiled finish but with all the benefits of a 2 part-polyurethane finish, with added hardener for each coat making it suitable for heavy-traffic commercial areas. Andrew has completed a renovation of the wood block floors in our hall & lounge. The old, stained, scratched blocks have gone from dingey to fabulous in just 5 days, and given the house a lovely contemporary feel. We were consulted about our requirements at the outset, and all the options/costs explained. Andrew was always punctual and we were happy to let him have a key to the property when we weren’t in attendance. Whilst the work was not inexpensive we feel that it was excellent value for money as the quality was superb. Makes us smile every time we enter the house! We would certainly use Strippers for any similar future work and are very happy to recommend.

After successfully bringing my floor back to life after hold 12 Wreath Making workshops in my house, I decided it was time to call back Strippers Flooring to help me with my air b n b guest room. The wooden floor had been badly painted over and was looking awful. As before, the workmanship was fantastic, it was hassle free and just a pleasure to be dealing with professional, craftsmen that really understood what I needed. The guest room now has a new lease of life and although 2020 limited the amount of guests I could host, those that came have given me glowing reviews. I think 2021 could be the time to call Strippers back and tackle the upstairs. Highly recommend.
